Curriculum Vitae
I am a historian trained at the universities of Gießen, Mainz and Zurich. I have been specialising in the history of technology since my master thesis on the automation of the financial branch of Swiss postal services (1960s and 1970s). In 2013 I completed my PhD-Thesis at ETH Zurich’s Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences. The thesis contributes to the institutional history of broadcasting by investigating the mutual interdependencies between journalistic and technological processes in West German postwar television production.
In my current research I focus on the cultural and social history of digital technology. I appreciate working in interdisciplinary teams and commit to collaborative workspaces characterized by mutual respect. Since April 2020, I have been a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for the History of Medicine and Science Studies (IMGWF).
